This progress report reflects on the foundational work conducted by the EMDE Investor Taskforce in its first year, setting out what has been achieved, where barriers persist, and how the Taskforce is moving from analysis to action.  

It documents the Taskforce’s work in creating a deeper shared understanding of the barriers and opportunities specific to the UK’s unique landscape, and in bringing together – for the first time in a single forum – the full range of financial sector actors required to address them: pension funds, insurers, asset managers, banks, investment consultants, development finance institutions, credit rating agencies, and government departments and regulators whose decisions shape the investment environment. 

The report also sets out the Taskforce’s agenda for year two: five workstreams covering asset owner mobilisation, products and tools, data, credit ratings and regulation.
